Favorite summer things
I wish y’all could be on my porch or in my pool – definitely my favorite places this time of the year! But until that time comes, I thought I’d share some of my current favorite things.
Adult Summer Reading — I love the library in our neighboring county that has a branch right by my kids’ school. June has already been a good reading month for me, which means I read six books to earn a cute canvas bag to haul around books or whatever else. (Follow me on Goodreads! Stay tuned: I have a post coming soon with lists and links to all the books I’ve read and what I thought about them.)
CMT’s Crossroads with Needtobreathe and Jordan Davis — NTB is my long-time favorite band and Jordan Davis is definitely on the rise for me. His “Buy Dirt” is a bit of an anthem around here. I’m gonna need CMT to make this Crossroads event available on Apple Music so I can drive around listening to these fun songs!
Electric, spinning scrubber — I saw someone share this on Instagram and immediately wanted it. It was an easy yes when I saw it was on sale. It’s still on sale and has a coupon for $12 off. It works well on tile — in the kitchen and in my shower. I’m sure there are other uses I haven’t discovered yet.
Greenlight card — My 14-year-old son has a job this summer, but we didn’t think he was ready for a debit card with access to all his earnings. This card is linked to our checking account but allocated certain amounts of month for spend & save. It’s a perfect fit for what we needed — and you can benefit too! Earn $30 when you sign up for Greenlight through this link. With the money app and debit card for kids and teens, we can send our kids money instantly, assign chores, and teach them to earn, save, and invest.
Kittens – I know, I know. I’m not even a pet person. But these unexpected kittens came at the right time for our family. Most of us really love them. It’s been a sweet experience watching them grow and play on our porch. (Yes, they even taught me some lessons.)
Walmart+ – Yes, I know I’ve shared this before, but it remains a favorite service! I can’t get over the ease of having groceries, household products, and sometimes even clothes delivered to my house. If you aren’t a Walmart+ member, now is a good time because there are some perks this week. Plus I put together a storefront of some of my favorite things and previously posted about some favorite Walmart finds.
What are you loving during these summer days?
