Come sit on that pretty, comfy swing with me.
In November 2014, my friend Beth Stiff, who blogs at Simply Beth, passed me her #ThreeWordWednesday torch. I was honored to continue with the community of writers she had encouraged but I had no idea what to expect when I hosted the first link up here on Nov. 12, 2014.
It’s been a joy to host this link up of writers with whom I may not have otherwise connected. So often their words speak truth into my life. We’d love for you to join us.
In March 2017, the linkup underwent a name change to be more in line with the blog community that gathers here and swaps stories.
#PorchStories is simple, really. I know we’re all busy with life and kids and jobs and parents and friends and church and whatever else it is that occupies our time. Some weeks I’m not sure what my post will be about, but knowing people will show up here on Wednesdays is good motivation to write something.
Showing up is brave. So that’s what #PorchStories is about. Let’s show up together.
I hope you continue gathering on my virtual porch so we can swap stories. You’re invited to show up with your stories about your real lives, where you’re meeting God and learning truth. You’re invited to encourage others and make friends. There’s room for you and your faith-filled stories here.
The link-up post goes live at 6 a.m. central time each Wednesday and stays open through Saturday night. Share a post with a three-word focus that can encourage others and use the code in the sidebar in your post so we can all find each other. Also, be sure to visit your link-up neighbors and tweet posts you love using #PorchStories.
Find all the previous #ThreeWordWednesday posts here, follow the newer #PorchStories here, and come back each Wednesday morning for the newest installment. I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s sit together and share stories.
