Sleepy baby

October 29, 2007 by Kristin Leave a Comment

When we get home from being gone for the weekend, there’s always several bags that need to be unpacked, many bottles that need to be washed, laundry that needs to sorted and other random things that need to be put in their places. So that’s what I was doing this morning, along with putting together Cate’s high chair.

Just to set the scene, I was in the kitchen/living room doing these things while Cate was playing on a blanket in the living room. (It’s one open area for those of you unfamiliar with our house …) I ran downstairs to put in a load of laundry.

Well, we got a new washer and dryer last week so this was my first load in the new machine, which is a front-loading, higher-tech machine than our previous model that had a broken knob that prevented anything from being washed in anything other than cold water. So, I’m figuring out how to open the pull-out drawer thing where the detergent goes and selecting all my options … cold, medium cycle, no extra rinse or spin, start.

I started walking back upstairs and realized I couldn’t hear Cate or her toys. Now, I thinking, gosh, it takes her a long time to move (via scooting and maybe one roll) anywhere other than where I put her so she’s probably not really into anything …

Nope, not into a thing. Other than maybe a good dream. Guess she wore herself out. Or maybe she was still recouping from the extra attention she got this weekend from Milla, Grandma, Aunt Cassie and Uncle Zac. (More to come on that visit later.)

    oh, that’s so sweet!

I haven’t checked your blog in a couple days. I got used to seeing “No news is good news” and gave up, i suppose! 😉

About Me

Telling stories is my therapy and love sharing with friends on my porch.

The main characters in my stories are my entrepreneur husband, our fifth-grade girl who never forgets, our have-no-fear second-grade boy, and our joy-filled toddler girl. As we live out our stories, we seek God as the author of them all.
